Two Garret turbines TPE-31 of 1000 HP each. Max speed: 576 km/h (310 kts). Range: 2100 km (1304 nm). Ceiling: 8400 m (27550 ft). Capacity: 10 passengers and 2 crew.
Short and medium haul passenger aircraft. Pressurized fuselage, single piece wing (14 m span). The type was designed by Swearingen, which was subsequently taken over by Fairchild in 1971.
The aircraft on display was the private aircraft of the governor of Kentucky and was later bought by Météo France. It was then equipped with numerous sensors and used for research. It was
retired in 2002.
