Built by Howard Hughes, this plane set several records. It became the fastest landplan on Sept. 13th, 1935
at 352 mph. It broke the transcontinental US speed record on Jan 19th, 1937, flying from Los Angeles to Newark
in 7 hrs 28 min at an average speed of 332 mph.
